AACFCU Raises Over $13,000 for Cystic Fibrosis

Army Aviation Center Federal Credit Union (AACFCU) raised more than $13,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) during a recent company-wide fundraising campaign. Because of the generosity of AACFCU employees and members, $10,278 was raised in donations while the Credit Union donated an additional $3,000 to the foundation.
Lisa Hales, AACFCU Vice President of Marketing, presented a check to Emily Jenkins, CFF volunteer, at the Great Strides Walk on Saturday, April 30, 2011 where AACFCU was recognized as the top corporate fundraiser for the Wiregrass area and one of the top corporate fundraisers in the state of Alabama.
“We would like to thank our members and employees for supporting this organization,” said Hales. “Being involved in the community is very important to the Credit Union, and we’re grateful for the opportunity and support that allows us to be here.”
AACFCU Donates to Alabama Tornado Disaster Relief

AACFCU collected donations for victims of the devastating tornados that affected people across Alabama. AACFCU members and staff brought in nonperishable food and other items such as cleaning supplies and paper goods to be sent to those in need. In addition to collecting the above items, AACFCU also raised just over $500 to be donated to the American Red Cross disaster relief efforts. AACFCU worked with several other local organizations to distribute donations to various locations in North Alabama.
AACFCU Announces Winner of E-Statement Promotion
AACFCU is proud to announce member Robert Spivey is the winner of its recent e-statement promotion. Spivey won an Apple iPad for enrolling in AACFCU’s free e-statement services during the promotional period.
AACFCU’s free e-statements are becoming increasingly popular among members because of benefits such as receiving statements faster and more securely as well as the ability to download and store statements for longer record-keeping.

AACFCU Hosts 2nd Children’s Party with Kirby Kangaroo
AACFCU held its second children’s party featuring Kirby Kangaroo and other guests from the Santa Rosa Beach community on Saturday, February 26, 2011, at its branch located at 200 Mack Bayou Road. Children and their parents enjoyed a morning of snacks, games and visits from guests such as the Walton County Sheriff’s Department, South Walton Fire District, McGruff the Crime Dog, Smokey the Fire Dog and Alaqua Animal Rescue. Children also had the opportunity to see a special helicopter landing, sheriff patrol cars, a fire truck and an ambulance.
AACFCU thanks all the volunteers from the community that helped make the event such a success. Kirby Kangaroo is the mascot of AACFCU’s savings accounts for children up to 12-years-old.
